Tell us a bit about yourself!

My name is Abbie Stockard. I am 23 years old and a native of Birmingham, Alabama. I’m a trained dancer and choreographer, a nursing student, and a passionate advocate for children’s health and cystic fibrosis awareness. I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Auburn University, where I’ve been involved as a member of the Tiger Paws Dance Team, Greek Life, and as a Student Recruiter. Competing in the Miss America Organization since my freshman year of college has changed my life - providing me with over $89,000 in tuition scholarships, the opportunity to serve as a national ambassador for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the honor of being named Miss America 2025.

You’ve held a national title that required incredible poise, public speaking, and presence— how has that shaped the way you approach personal style and confidence?

I’ve learned that when you look good and feel good, confidence follows naturally. Style isn’t just about clothes - it’s about how you carry yourself and how you express who you are. I have learned that when you feel comfortable and authentic in what you wear, it empowers you to speak with more presence, connect more easily with others, and approach any situation with assurance.

What’s your philosophy when it comes to dressing for high-pressure moments, whether it’s a speech, a camera, or a crowded room?

For high-pressure moments, I believe in wearing something that feels like an elevated version of myself. It’s about striking a balance between professionalism, comfort, and personal style. When I’m confident in what I’m wearing, I can focus on the moment itself - delivering my message, connecting with people, and being fully present - without being caught up worrying about my outfit.

What does living stylishly mean to you, beyond just what you wear?

To me, living stylishly goes far beyond clothing. It’s about fitting seamlessly into your environment while still allowing your individuality to shine. It’s knowing how to be appropriate for the moment yet addingyour own personal touches. Living stylishly means being intentional with how you present yourself, how you treat others, and how you carry your values into everyday life. It’s about aligning your outward expression with your inner character, so that your style reflects not just how you look, but who you are.

Your journey has taken you from the stage to the everyday. How do you balance glamour and authenticity in your wardrobe?

Style is more than just what you wear; it’s an attitude. I believe you should always stay true to yourself, no matter the setting. Authenticity is the foundation, and glamour is simply an extension of it to highlight your personality. For me, glamour isn’t about being over-the-top; it’s about adding those touches of sparkle, elegance, or sophistication that feel natural to who I am, whether I’m on stage or in my everyday life.

What ways do you stay grounded? Any habits or rituals that are non-negotiable for your wellness?

When I’m not on stage, I stay grounded through my faith. I take time to be still, to worship, and to reflect on the One from whom all blessings flow. I remind myself that I was created on purpose and for a purpose, and I trust that the Lord is using me through every opportunity - even in ways I may never see or fully understand. I always make space for the simple things that bring me joy like long walks and dinner with my family.
