Iām Lisa Frohlich of @hamptonsnystyle and I run a fashion consulting firm in East Hampton. Iām a native New Yorker and come from a family of retailers, so the apple didnāt fall far from the tree. I started my career in fashion as a dress buyer for a large department store. Then I pursued my passion for jewelry by designing a collection, Lisa K, that was sold at Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales. Before moving full time to the Hamptons, I designed a Lisa K collection for QVC and I sold it on-air.
Iām currently consulting for 20 fashion brands, including emerging brands and larger international retailers. I help them with growth and success strategies all over the world. Iām a contributing editor for 3 Hamptons publications. I enjoy hosting a few shopping events each year in the Hamptons and NYC to showcase new brands.

The annual Modatrova event in the Hamptons is extremely important to me because it spotlights 12 emerging female-founded designers and their collections. All of these designers have worked incredibly hard to build their businesses. As a year-round resident of the Hamptons, I enjoy introducing the community to exciting new brands.

Years ago, I would wear more form-fitting outfits, and I have definitely moved away from that look. My style is bold yet feminine, and Iām not afraid to take risks with my choices. I love a ātomboy styleā for weekends, and will pair cargo pants with chunky sweaters. Despite the stereotype that New Yorkers live in black, Iām always in bright colors and prints. My Instagram @hamptonsnystyle showcases the brands I am passionate about.

By 2030, I predict thatĀ sustainable fashion will be the norm, not the exception. Brands will secure innovative ways to reduce waste.Ā Virtual fashionĀ is a growing trend due to the pandemic, and will continue to dominate the industry. With the rise of social media and e-commerce, brands are exploring new ways to showcase their products online.Ā Ā
I played college tennis for Ohio Wesleyan University, and my most prized possessions are my varsity tennis jacket and sweatshirt from my team. Fashion is my career, but sports are a big part of my life.
My dream vacation is returning to Italyās Amalfi Coast where my husband and I traveled on our honeymoon. I pack dresses and more dresses on vacation. Other than my pajamas, you can pretty much find me in a dress or skirt set. Dresses are easy to style and help me get out the door quickly.
There are so many wonderful events in the Hamptons each season. Some are work events and some are for fun. I love that Mestiza creates pieces that can be worn to a gala, but also worn to dinner or date night. I will be wearing my Mestiza pieces on repeat this summer.
