 Hello! I'm a proud mom to a vibrant 5-year-old and a devoted wife. I have a passion for classic furnishings and design, particularly the elegance of chinoiserie and classic feminine touches. Fashion is also a big part of my life; I enjoy expressing my style through timeless pieces that reflect my love for classic aesthetics. In my free time, I love cooking and embracing the art of homemaking, all while cherishing the beautiful journey of motherhood and partnership. It's a joy to create a warm and inviting home for my family!

 How did your content journey begin? 

My fashion and design journey started when I was a teenager, inspired by my mother, who is a fashionista herself, and always designed our homes beautifully. Watching her put together beautiful outfits, rooms, table scapes, sparked my interest in fashion & design. I began exploring different styles and trends, often experimenting with my own outfits and sharing them with friends. Initially, I created a blog to document my thoughts on fashion, showcasing my favorite looks and discussing the latest trends. I focused on affordable fashion because then, a collage student and how to style pieces in creative ways. Over time, my content evolved to include more in-depth topics, like motherhood, homemaking, entertaining, and pieces that will stand the test of time, as I realized how important these topics are to my audience. Connecting with my readers has been a huge part of this journey. Their feedback and stories have inspired me to keep growing and adapting my content. Now, I aim to celebrate individuality and empower others to express their unique style through fashion.

 How has living in Hong Kong influenced your approach to style and getting dressed? 

 Living in Hong Kong has significantly influenced my approach to style and getting dressed. The city's vibrant fashion scene, which blends Eastern and Western influences, has inspired me to be more adventurous with my wardrobe. I’ve learned to mix different styles and incorporate bold colors and unique patterns, reflecting the city's energy and diversity. The fast-paced lifestyle in Hong Kong has also taught me the importance of practicality in fashion. I’ve become more focused on versatile pieces that can easily transition from day to night, allowing me to adapt to various social settings. Additionally, the humid climate has encouraged me to prioritize comfort without sacrificing style, opting for breathable fabrics and layered looks. Overall, living in Hong Kong has made me more open-minded and creative in my fashion choices, embracing both individuality and functionality. 

Similarly to Mestiza, you have a deep love for blue & white and chinoiserie! How do you incorporate this color scheme and artwork into your wardrobe and home? 

 I absolutely adore the blue and white color scheme and chinoiserie! To incorporate this aesthetic into my wardrobe, I look for pieces that feature these classic colors and patterns. For example, I love wearing blouses with blue floral prints or dresses that have delicate chinoiserie motifs. I often pair these items with neutral accessories to let the blue and white stand out while maintaining an elegant look. In my home, I bring this love to life through decor and furnishings. I use blue and white ceramics, such as vases and dishes, as statement pieces around my living space. Throw pillows and curtains in complementary patterns also add a cohesive touch. I find that this color scheme creates a calming and sophisticated atmosphere, making it a perfect backdrop for both relaxation and entertaining. Overall, blending blue and white into my wardrobe and home reflects my personal style and love for timeless elegance! 

I'm sure you've traveled to many destinations while living abroad! Where are some of your favorites that you recommend people visit in Asia? 

 • Jingdezhen, China: Jingdezhen is a place that truly resonates with me. Known as the "Porcelain Capital," this city is a treasure trove of artistry and craftsmanship. I’ve spent countless hours wandering through workshops, captivated by the artisans as they transform raw clay into stunning pieces of porcelain. Each piece tells a story, and I love collecting small treasures that remind me of the rich history and tradition that permeates the air. Engaging with local artists has deepened my appreciation for their skills and the cultural significance behind their work. 

 • Penang, Malaysia: Penang is my ultimate culinary paradise! I can’t get enough of the vibrant street food scene. Exploring the colorful streets of George Town, I’ve had some of the most delicious meals, each bursting with unique flavors and cultural influences. I fondly remember sitting at a bustling hawker center 6 years ago on our honeymoon enjoying char kway teow and laksa while soaking in the lively atmosphere. When visiting again with our now family was a full circle moment. The fusion of cultures here makes every meal an adventure, and I always leave with a full heart (and stomach!). 

 • Singapore: Singapore is a city that never ceases to amaze me. I love the perfect blend of modernity and tradition that it offers. Wandering through Gardens by the Bay, especially at night when the Supertree Grove lights up, feels like stepping into a futuristic wonderland. The food scene is equally impressive; I have cherished moments enjoying a mix of hawker fare and upscale dining experiences. The vibrant mix of cultures and experiences makes every visit feel fresh and exciting, and I always leave inspired. These destinations have left a lasting impression on me, each filled with cherished memories and experiences that I’ll carry with me for years to come! 

 Share some of your best beauty/fashion tips for representing the best version of yourself, inside and out? 

 • Timeless Wardrobe Staples: Building a wardrobe with classic pieces has been one of my best decisions. Items like tweed jackets, A-line skirts, and little black dresses are timeless and versatile. I remember investing in a well-fitted trench coat that instantly elevated my outfits during the fall. It’s a staple that makes me feel both sophisticated and chic, no matter what I pair it with. 

 • Embrace Pastels and Floral Prints: Soft colors and floral patterns have a way of bringing out a gentle, feminine vibe in my outfits. I love incorporating pastel shades like white, baby blue, and beige into my wardrobe. One of my favorite pieces is a floral midi dress that I wore to a garden party; it made me feel like I belonged to a fairytale, and I received so many compliments! 

 • Accessorize with Elegance: Accessories can transform a simple outfit into something extraordinary. I enjoy adding delicate jewelry, such as pearl earrings or a dainty necklace, to complete my look. A classic handbag in a neutral color is another essential that elevates any outfit.

I’ve learned that it’s not just about wearing dresses or skirts; it’s about embodying grace and strength. Confidence truly is the best outfit, and it shines through when I feel good in what I wear.
