Meg McCartney, Lifestyle Blogger
Posted on 09 June 2020
We met the marvelous Meg McCartney at a shopping event at the Doubles Club in NYC a few years back. She was actually one of our first clients! She later caught our eye again wearing our beloved Georgiana Ballgown and posting it on Instagram. We soon found ourselves "stalking" her feed where we discovered her gorgeous wardrobe that Betty Draper would drool over, charming shots of vignettes of her homes in Palm Beach and Southampton and most of all, her sense of fun, optimistic style! She is this week's featured tastemaker...and she also makes a mean yet Marvelous Margarita!
How did you discover Mestiza?
I first fell in love with Mestiza when I was introduced at Doubles in NYC. I purchased my first dazzling number with the chicest embellishments running down the middle of a black retro-ish dress. I have been a lover of fashion my whole life going back to when I was probably four years old, dressing up in my mother’s frocks.

Who are your fashion icons?
Some of my favorite fashion icons that have left a huge impression on me would have to be Carolina Herrera for her classic and feminine silhouettes and Oscar de la Renta for his breathtaking gift of color, exceptional materials and designs. Also, Ralph Lauren, Aerin and Alexis. I can always recognize their designs!
Where do you like to shop in Southampton?
While I’m in Southampton, my go-to is Roberta Roller Rabbit, these comfy caftans, pj dresses are totally acceptable to wear all over town. My other staples are white jeans, a Pucci top and white Stubbs & Wooten wedges. I live in white linen everything!
Where are some hidden shopping gems in Palm Beach?
While in Palm Beach, I tend to wear a lot from the Snappy Turtle, C. Orrico, CJ Lang, Style Paris and of course, Lilly Pulitzer! I adore antiquing and Dixie Highway’s Antique Row is a jaunt you can’t miss! You will find the most eclectic blend of old and new vintage treasures. I never leave empty- handed.
PLEASE Tell us the recipe for your MARVELOUS margarita?!
Marvelous Margarita Recipe
Kosher salt or ground sea salt
2 oz (1/4 cup) tequila
1.5 oz (3 tablespoons) fresh lime juice
1 oz (2 tablespoons) fresh orange juice
Lime wedges for garnish
Pour a layer of salt onto a small plate. Slice off a piece of lime and run the wed edge of the slice along half the rim of your glass. Dip the top of the glass into the salt at a 45 degree angle and rolling from side to side to catch the salt. Add cubes of ice to your glass. Fill a small cocktail shaker with ice, pour in your mixture shake and serve! And goes best when wearing Mestiza!!
