When I start to worry, I always have my sister Rosanna’s voice in my head telling me “Ale, focus on what you can control.” Last month I wrote about my hope for a more connected future. We had just shot the fall 21 collection; the whole team was together in person and our excitement for everything finally getting back to normal was palpable.  But of course, just when we were all about to breath a sigh of relief, uncertainty came flooding back into our collective consciousness.

I started to panic a little bit, worried about having to live through another lockdown. However, it’s in this uncertainty that I am reminded to focus on the things I can control. The effort and dedication put into Mestiza is something we can control.  As we have always said, it is part of the human condition to want to celebrate life’s moments, and for all those moments, we will continue to be here to offer pretty, optimistic dresses for you to dance the night away in.
