I’m Annelise Peterson – Writer and founder of annelise007.com, a creative communications & business development agency that works with brands to tailor and execute impactful on-and-offline strategies that connect with influential audiences.  Utilizing my experience in publishing, luxury fashion as well as in the beauty industry, I’ve been called upon as a “change agent,” revitalizing and expanding brand reach with innovative and often unconventional methods that tell a story, increase visibility, and foster loyalty. 

My career has been far from linear. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Barnard College in New York City, I launched into a lucrative career within the Private Wealth division of UBS. After about two years, I pivoted from finance to fashion. A well-respected – and brave - publicist offered me a position at his firm after a short stint together at jury duty. Since then, I’ve held key business development and marketing positions at NET-A- PORTER, Valentino, Calvin Klein, Vogue and Alberta Ferretti. I’m a contributing columnist to Hamptons Magazine and the Purist, focusing my stories on wellness and female entrepreneurs. 

When I am not behind a computer or working, I am dividing time between Sag Harbor and New York City with my three children Maude, Axel and Gunnar.

Surround yourself with people you consider smarter than you or more talented in some way.

Set clear boundaries between work and your personal life.  You don’t have to share every moment.

Brené Brown –  I love her open dialogue around courage, vulnerability and shame. Katie Couric for her resilience, intelligence, and effervescent personality. And Oprah, of course. Self-made, funny, honest, charismatic, and driven, she has used her Word for so much good. She exhibits the kind of empathy we need to save the world.
