The MNY Spotlight
Meet Corey Golden, creator of See Golden Style, Merchandising Editor at ELLE and Harper's BAZAAR, marketer, and interior designer!
Hi everyone! I’m Corey Golden: NYC-based blogger (@seegoldenstyle on Instagram), Merchandising Editor at ELLE and Harper’s BAZAAR, marketer, and most recently, interior designer (Corey Golden Design). I’ve always worn many hats…and I’m about to add *wife* into the mix! My fiancé proposed in May and we’re planning our wedding for next summer.

I’ve spent my career in marketing, working at media powerhouses Hearst and Meredith, where I was inspired by the largest brands in the industry including InStyle, People, ELLE, Harper’s BAZAAR, and Marie Claire. It was a dream come true to become Merchandising Editor of ELLE and Harper’s BAZAAR last year! My evolution from social media influencer, to marketer, to magazine editor, to interior designer is a reflection of my passion for design—from fashion to interiors.
I was actually working as a Marketing Assistant at InStyle magazine at the time, where a lot of my projects revolved around partnerships with social media influencers. I was completely fascinated by the industry and decided to start my own brand. Here we are, almost 7 years later, and See Golden Style has remained my creative outlet. I just love the process of content creation, whether it be fashion, beauty, interiors, wellness, or travel.

This is such a hard one! I have so many, from family members to celebrities to other bloggers in the space. But if I had to choose just a few—Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Hailey Bieber.
With my recent venture into interior design, I’m finding a ton of inspiration in architecture, furnishings, textures, and patterns. It’s crazy how much the worlds of fashion and design overlap!
I’m not someone who loves the gym, but I do find that working out consistently makes me feel better mentally and physically. I’ve recently taken up running outdoors and try to do 3-4 miles, 3-4 times per week if I can. Taking those 30 minutes to put down my phone, forget about work, and listen to a great playlist is a true game changer. I also love a Sunday night bath!
Try not to think too far into the future when you’re starting a business. It can be so overwhelming at first, so start with laying out a plan for the first month, or first week, rather than the first year. Take it one step at a time!

I’ve had countless women mentor and support me throughout my life and career. There’s no better feeling than having someone you look up to who you know is in your corner. If I can provide that for even one other woman, I feel like I’m doing something right :)
