The MNY Spotlight
Meet Rachel Ober, Palm-Beach Based Fashion Influencer
Hello! I’m Rachel, and I’m the creator of @rachelnthecityy! I’m currently thriving in Miami and Palm Beach with my husband. I’m a full-time marketing manager but enjoy sharing my perspective on style, travel, and intentional living. I want to be a beacon of style and grace, helping others curate a timeless closet with sustainable brands. I love encouraging others to “wear the dress,” even on mundane Mondays, and to be inspired by all the beauty around us—traveling beautiful places in beautiful pieces.

Thankfully my mother let me use my creativity at a young age to dress myself. I have a stack of photos of my younger self dressed in a range of outfits, from a one-piece bathing suit and cowgirl boots to sequin dresses and plastic heels. My senior superlative was “best dress,” and I initially set to go to SCAD for fashion, but I let fear get the best of me and changed my degree to business. Thankfully years later, even after a degree change, I still have a piece of the fashion industry!
The South of France, without a doubt. From St. Tropez to the Provence region. The small towns were absolutely charming. You can’t go wrong with any of the small towns, but here are a few I recommend—Lourmarin, Grimaud, Saignon, Gordes, and Roussillon.

In the last 4 years, we've moved to a new city each year, so my style has evolved each year! I’ve curated pieces from each place but have really tried to hone in on pieces that can stand the test of time.
Princess Grace Kelly—feminine, graceful, and iconic!
The key lime pie trend! I’ve been in a green era for a while, but I’ve leaned more sage, so I’m excited to change it up and incorporate more zesty green hues! Another style I’m loving is 3D Lace, which gives an ethereal look.
The uniqueness of the designs is what first drew me in. I remember seeing the first piece that stopped me dead in my tracks, and I’ve been obsessed since! Pieces truly worth passing down!
