Meet Sarah McDonnell of @theBeautyRescue, a fashion and lifestyle blogger living in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. Sarah gave us the scoop on how she combines luxury pieces with everyday basics, why she's grateful to have an online platform, and her favorite dresses for a date night in Mestiza. Tell us about yourself!

Hi, I'm Sarah! I'm a loving wife to an amazing husband & mother of a beautiful daughter and two little fur-babies. Living in Coeur D'Alene Idaho (by way of Southern California & New Hampshire). I love life and I love sharing my life with others, hence why I take to social media to be the "life sharer" that I am.

What inspired you to start blogging?

I started blogging as a way to share some of the latest fashion, lifestyle & beauty trends as well as fitness tips and places to travel with and also without a family, while giving honest feedback to my followers about products & services I believe in. I'm passionate about helping others, and fascinated how social media is not just a way to connect with loved ones, but a platform where anyone can have a voice and be heard. I'm using my voice (and my iPhone camera!) to do my part and leave a lasting impression while contributing to the positive change our world desperately needs.

How would you describe your personal style?

Since I'm a busy mom to a toddler that is always on the go, I'm all about that everyday basic lifestyle with a pop of luxury mixed in to create a look that's flawless, effortless, classic and practical. However, I do love getting dressed up for a night out with my husband. When we have date nights, I'm all about stepping outside that basic lifestyle, getting dressed up and feeling like "wowing" my husband.

Who are some of your style icons?

It may sound strange, but I've never really had any style icons. Instead of style icons, I have many favorite designers, but you'll never see me buying just their pieces. I'm all about mixing and matching and creating my own style that suits me.

What draws you to the Mestiza brand?

I LOVE that the dresses are couture-like dresses yet do not have the couture price tag. They also have a wide range of dresses that you can literally wear to brunch, to an afternoon pool party or out for a night on the town. The quality of the dresses are top notch and when you step into that dress, you feel like a million bucks.

What are some of your favorite Mestiza pieces?

Some of my favorite pieces are the Claudia Tuxedo Dress, the Brianna Tiered Gown, the Elia Strapless Jumpsuit and the Flora Mini Dress. I've never had so many ladies ask me about my dress as they did the night I wore the Claudia Tuxedo Dress out to dinner. My husband literally said "you're a walking advertisement right now!"
