The MNY Spotlight
The Festival of Lights
FROM THE DESK OF LOUISA RECHTER TAKACS
Being half Jewish, as a child we celebrated Christmas and Hanukkah. As I grew older, the celebrations became more subdued and frankly fizzled.
Now that I’m a mother and have a family of my own, I am taking the lead and forming traditions!
So after maybe 15 years of Hanukkah hibernation, I brought it back in style!
LOUISA WEARS THE ADRIA GOWN IN NAVY TO LIGHT THE MENORAH
I wore our Adria Gown in Navy. Yes, it can be worn to black tie events but the loose and stretchy fabric almost reminds me of a chic hostess dress. I wore it at home, styled barefoot. I lit the menorah, passed out latkes, and lounged on the couch while I had my kids search for their hidden presents.
I’m so glad to be able to reignite traditions and form new ones of my own... and that Mestiza can play a part in it!
