This week's Wedding Wednesday features Cathleen Holloway and her event planning company, Holloway Events! Cathleen is an event designer and planner based in Houston, Texas! Her company specializes in high touch, luxury destination weddings!

How would you describe your aesthetic?

"Tailored elegance with a large focus on personalization. We create a wedding for our clients which is personalized and special to them and their relationship. We hone in on their interests, life, and get to know the couple intimately during the process to ensure we include the unique touches that make it 'them.'"

Who are some key vendors that you enjoy working with?

"We love Maxit Flower Design and Events In Bloom for floral design! And Sasithon Photography for wedding photos!"

Due to COVID-19, many brides are postponing their weddings. Any tips on how to help brides navigate this process?

"Trust your gut on postponing, but do so thoughtfully. Take a week when making the decision and TRUST your vendor team. They will take care of you!"

What is your process in throwing an awesome party?

"Liquid Courage and an excellent band!"

What was your favorite wedding that you planned?

"I have to say my own wedding! It launched me into building a company where I get to plan for a living, and I'm so grateful. And bonus, I got to marry my best friend!"

What draws you to the Mestiza brand?

"Mestiza is fun and playful, yet extremely elegant. The pieces will stand the test of time and still are fashion-forward and new. It's my favorite brand for date night and vacations!"

What are some Mestiza pieces that would be great for brides/bridal parties/mother-of-the-bride?
