Meet Louise Montgomery, Texas-based Fashion & Lifestyle Creator
Born and raised in Mississippi, Louise is a fashion and lifestyle creator who now lives in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband, Grant, and their dog, Remi. She started posting online after graduating from The University of Mississippi in 2020, as a side hustle that, in just three short years, became her full-time job. Louise loves helping people find the perfect outfit for every occasion, whether it be for a black tie wedding or a trip to Italy. Her content revolves around her love for savvy shopping, along with her classic southern roots.

Tell us a bit about yourself!
My name is Louise and I am a 26 year old fashion & lifestyle creator based in Texas! I grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and am the second of four children. From a young age, I have always been interested in fashion and social media and I actually started my first fashion blog while I was in high school!
I met my husband while we were in college at Ole Miss, and we both graduated and got married in 2020. As we all know, 2020 was a tough time for many of us, and since I was working a retail job (that I LOVED!) while my husband was in grad school, I started researching ways to make extra money online to feed my shopping addiction, because we were on a tight newly-wed budget.
Louise, your Instagram feed @louisemontgomeryblog is a masterclass in modern lifestyle aesthetic. How would you describe your style and what first inspired you to build your page around it?
I think I would describe my style as classic, with a twist! I’m constantly inspired by so many people, places, and things… a lot of my inspiration comes from Nancy Meyers movies, like Father of the Bride and The Parent Trap.
I was first encouraged to start blogging by my family when I was in high school! It was such a great creative outlet for me. My whole life, people have asked me where my clothes are from or how to style certain things. In fact, my mom was my first “client” and I would pick out her outfits for date night, church, etc. and lay them out in her closet with jewelry and shoes to match.
You recently visited the Coltswalds! What are some of the “must see” activities you would recommend to your followers seeing if they planned a trip there?
A visit to Daylesford Organics is an absolute must! If Nancy Meyers had a market in the English countryside, Daylesford Organics would be it. I’d love to go back and take a cooking class there.

What fall trends are you excited to lean into this season, and which pieces from Mestiza’s new Fall Collection resonate with those trends?
I’m always excited to see different hues of chocolate brown, matching sets, and vests! Mestiza does such a lovely job of incorporating trends with a timeless take! The Espresso Midi Dress & Claudia Vest Top are favorites for sure.
Which pieces from Mestiza would you recommend for a fall wedding weekend as a guest - from welcome drinks, to the wedding day, to the next-day brunch?
For welcome drinks, I’d wear the Loverde Mini Dress with strappy heels, statement earrings, and a party-pony hairstyle!
On the wedding day, I’d have to go with the Tropez Convertible Midi Dress. I love that you get 2 dresses in one, making it easy to wear again!
For the next day's brunch, I’d go with the Fiona Shift Mini Dress for an elevated but still comfortable option.
What is something your followers don’t know about you, that you wish they did?
This is a tough one! I think something that might be unexpected is that I am an extremely relaxed person. I think I’m the least likely person to be doing what I am doing for a job. It can be a difficult job to explain to people and honestly, I do get embarrassed sometimes telling people what I do for work because it really doesn’t feel like work to me.
That said, to answer the question, I wish my followers knew just how grateful I am that I can call this hobby of mine a full-time job. I don’t say it often enough!
How do you recommend your followers find their personal style? And tips?
It might sound silly, but I’ve always found so much inspiration from Pinterest! Pinning outfits or items I already have or have styled a different way helps me stay “focused” on items and pieces I like!

Can you walk us through a day in your life?
Of course! My morning starts at 5:30 am when my sweet husband wakes me up and we go to the gym together. After an hour at the gym, we come home and take Remi, our 3 year old German Shorthaired Pointer, on a walk. When we get back home, we have coffee and breakfast together before we get dressed and get our day started.
Depending on the day, my afternoons look different! Some days I’ll be filming from 10 am - 4pm, other days I’ll have calls, errands, editing, and linking. At the moment, I do it all with the help of my husband and my manager!
Around 5pm, we will take Remi on another long walk before we start cooking dinner and winding down for the evening. Something my followers really enjoy are my easy weeknight recipes! I’ve been making a lot of recipes from the Every Day With Babs cookbook lately.
What do you love most about the Mestiza brand?
My favorite thing about the Mestiza brand are the Convertible™ and reversible pieces! I absolutely love that aspect of having one piece that can be worn in different ways for different occasions.
How do you feel when you wear Mestiza?
I feel so beautiful when I wear Mestiza! The vibrant prints and fabrics paired with the feminine and classic silhouettes are always the perfect combination to help me feel my best.
